Si la lista de himnos fue polémica esta va a serlo más, y es que de una misma canción pude haber cualquier cantidad de versiones, (Yesterday tiene más de 1,300) y para definir la mejor, de acuerdo al gusto de cada quien, es casi imposible. Habrá infinidad de covers que consideren mejores y que quizá yo ni siquiera he escuchado, ya que las posibilidades son infinitas. Qué hace mejor una versión que otra?

En la siguiente lista estoy agregando temas en general conocidos, que puedan aportar un cambio o innovaciuón a la estructura del tema original, ya sea desnudando la instrumentación a un nivel básico y más emocional, o dándole mayor potencia y energía, imprimiendo su sello propio, sin dejarla irreconocible. Sobre todo en ls puestos superiores, serán de aquéllos que se adueñaron del tema de forma que los recordamos mejor que los originales, o de plano a veces nos es incluso una sorpresa saber que son covers. Pueden o no ser mejores que la original, nuevamente, eso es subjetivo.

En otros casos, es evidente que son versiones de temas previos y conocidos, pero  alcanzan una versión que dejó huella por las razones antes mencionadas. Como en el resto de las listas, no está a discusión el orden en que aparecen, sino las que pudiéramos considerar para incluir a la lista.
